In our family learning music fun course, the parents and children have been busy singing lots of nursery rhymes! The children enjoyed our interactive old McDonalds song box where the toy they picked was the next animal in the song and making paper plate pig faces.

We made Chinese dragon lolly stick puppets for Chinese New Year and the children danced them along in the air to traditional Chinese music.

We have also been listening to some classical music, ‘Carnival of the animals’ by Camille Saint- Seáns and thinking about how the ‘Hens’ piece sounds different to ‘The aquarium’. The babies in the group loved playing peekaboo with some see through material while listening to the music. We have made rainbow shakers, learnt a rainbow song, and looked at some resources to use at home to carry on supporting children’s language development and having fun together.
Some lovely rainbow shakers the parents and children made together at music fun last week.
